CareBridge is a youth-led initiative to bridge healthcare accessibility gaps using AI technology. Why CareBridge? At least half of the world's population lacks access to quality healthcare, and approximately one hundred million people cannot afford high healthcare costs. Furthermore, at least two billion people worldwide experience visual impairments, making everyday tasks like navigating online maps a significant challenge. Sarah Zhou launched the CareBridge initiative because she believes that access to basic health care is a human right, regardless of someone's specific conditions.
Sarah Zhou is the founder and president of the CareBridge initiative. She is a student at the Castilleja School (Palo Alto, CA), who enjoys coding and is passionate about making a positive impact on the world by leveraging her coding skills. She is active member of multiple STEM and engineering clubs at her school. She is also the founder and president of the "AI for Good Causes" club, as she believes in AI's power in creating a more equitable healthcare future for everyone.
Besides her passion for AI and STEM, she is also a varsity and club volleyball player, while being a classic piano player for 8 years.
To showcase AI's potential in tacking global health access chalelnges, Sarah Zhou built the CareBridge app, which is an AI-powered Android app designed to provide underrepresented communities with the tools and information to access basic healthcare.
